CONNECTICUT MAN PUNCHES A 4 YEAR OLD AT TARGET OVER POKEMON CARDS
A Target in Lisbon, Connecticut ran a Pokemon card restock and it ended with a fist fight. Per a September 5 post from the TCG account PokeStreetz, the incident happened around noon on August 28, and the woman who submitted the video said she and her boyfriend were fourth or fifth in line when two shoppers ahead of them filled baskets with the remaining Pokemon product, then moved it to a cart hidden in the store's men's clothing section to get around a two-item-per-SKU limit. Solid plan, nobody has ever wandered into the men's section of a Target. Then somebody started filming. The account says the guy in white punched the submitter's boyfriend in the face, his phone blocked part of the blow, and he fell into a 4-year-old girl and hurt her elbow. He got up immediately to check on the kid. The alleged puncher ran out of the store and left his wallet behind, and the girl's father called police. Leaving your ID at the scene is one way to skip the investigation. Here's the part the repost accounts keep dropping: no suspect has been publicly identified and no charges or arrest report have been located. The arrest is a social media claim, not a police statement. Meanwhile The Pokemon Company has restricted hyped 30th Anniversary product to Japanese buyers to fight scalpers, and Pokemon Center recently cancelled orders during a bot crackdown.
Why you should give a shit: Thirty years of gotta catch 'em all and the franchise's big anniversary moment is a grown man sprinting out of a Target without his wallet, because a two-per-customer limit means nothing when nobody in the building is paid to enforce it.
